I also got a job at target in the portrait studio. I hope I can deal with children. :O My friend brittany is gonna come over and im gonna take some pics of her for fun. If any of those turn out decent, they might end up on here!
Thanksgiving is fast approaching, but as soon as that is over with, christmas is here! and everyone knows how mary and I do enjoy our christmas season. Were both hoping for cameras this year, I want a canon A650. Mary wants a pink one. But she already knows shes getting it, so that kinda sucks...I guess? Ya I give up on typing. Adios.

Patchworks still cute btw.

I sit here on the lovely 17th of december, and I cant help but ponder why it is 50 degrees outside, and the sun filters through the clouds. This is sopposed to be the time when snowflakes fall and horse drawn carriages trot down the street. And everyone is sopposed to be drinking hot chocolate. Global warming is certaintly making its presence known, and I like it. I love warm air, and thats exactly what im getting. Sure its not good for the enviornment, but by the time any real damage happens I'll be dead anyway. Long live the warmth.

Who made the dance team? I made the dance team! Werd.
That has nothing to do with photography. Oh well, its my journal. But you know what *does* have to do with photography and is really weird? At the library in my school, theres a bin labeled "Photography/Suicide". Im nosy so I had to open it, whether they yell at me or not. So I did, and there was nothing in there at all. Whats up wit that? Why would a bin get such a label. Its eerie.
I havent taken many pictures lately. I am 'uninspired'. I bet its the winter. I hate winter so much. There is no more infuriating season than that which chills you to your bones and makes you immobile (well, makes me, anyway.) I did however get a memory card in the mail yesterday sent fresh from Iraq, with 66 pictures of that glorious place. Children in the streets, rubble everywhere. Lotsa palm trees, reminds me of Spain. No matter how much proof I have I still cant belive hes in Iraq.
Hopefully, next year, when I make that great journey to europe again, I can come back here with gorgeous pictures of Italy. i can not wait. I am so excited. Letting a photographer loose in Italy? Whose only 16? c'mon thats just amazingly..awesome. Well, when I go i'll be a senior and I'll be 18. The only problem? I dont speak any Italian. I look Italian though. Does that count? Im sure i'll be able to read stuff, italian is similar to french. Well, I have nothing more to say here. Au revoir tout le monde!

avec l'amor, Lise.

Today was a pretty good day. some of it was spent uptown, most of it (maybe like 4 hours) was spent at the mall with my friends. We kind of went on a shopping tangent, and I got new black pointed toe shoes. Mary got high heels that are shiny red open toe. Were gonna use them this weekend, a three day weekend. Mary shall be my model and im going to try to create my own fashion photo shoot, as if were advertising for a clothing company, lol. Hopefully it will turn out splendid. If not, I'll try again!!

Oh yea, and I entered a photo contest for a thousand dollar Sony A100 DSLR camera. But even if I won, I dunno if i'd get it because you have to be over 18 to enter. But I did anyway. The contest was hidden within the depths of a vogue magazine, whose gonna enter?? No fashion concious 18 yr. old will spend time to win a camera, when they could win shoes instead. I'll just see what happens....

Le Weekend

Fri Sep 15, 2006, 11:43 AM
Yay, its the weekend :) Even though its dreary out at the moment, it should be promising eventually. I hear that its gonna get warm on sunday... thats what I LIKE TO HEAR!!! YEAH! maybe i'll get to go to the beach because I didnt last time.
Im not sick anymore, but virtually everyone around me is. I probably will get sick again. School is actually ok, and I somehow found myself involved with the school newspaper, i'll probably write articles and do photography for them and such. I get to use photoshop! :) ..Not that I know how. But our school definately, DEFINATELY needs better quality pictures. Im not talking like beautiful flawless ones, I mean they need to work out the basics of photography. Most of the pics in their newspaper are always way too dark, and the backgrounds arent that great either. If I can help it, the picture will not be like that anymore. at all. It sickens me.
K...'nuff of that... Josh emailed me, said that the little kids in Iraq are wicked cute and are always trying to steal your watch. And hes been working for..days on end. Im so worried for him.
Not much else to say...except earlier today I saw a silver mustang GT drive down my street and right after that a silver corvette...I mean cmon what else is better than that? Actually, what I saw yesterday tops that. A 2007 bright yellow shelby mustang. OOOOOooo yeaaaaahhh. Ill probably put some pics of mustangs I saw at a carshow in my scraps.
